Moviebase's own framing for this one is unusually direct: "Two trackers with a lot in common" — both free, both built on TMDB, both offering Trakt sync, watchlists, episode tracking and where-to-watch information. The real differences are platform reach and customization, not feature scope.

Platform reach
CinExplore (made by Fidloo) is Android only — no iPhone, iPad or Mac. Moviebase covers all four.
Bringing in history
CinExplore's import path is Trakt only, or its own backup file — no direct import from other trackers. Moviebase's page notes it accepts direct imports from several other trackers (TV Time, Letterboxd, IMDb are named elsewhere on Moviebase's own site as supported sources).
Customization
CinExplore advertises 10 color palettes and reorderable screens. Moviebase ships with one palette per this comparison.
Calendar and ratings display
CinExplore's release calendar covers movies and shows together; Moviebase's is episode-focused.
